I was contacted at the end of last year but the most amazing person who had a design in mind for a Spider-Man inspired coat. She sent me some drawings, I sent her back some more with some fabric options. I LOVE\u00a0combining different types of textures in garments, and I loved that she was into it. Once we agreed on the design, I got working, and here&#8217;s some of the end results in picture form.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-450\" src=\"http:\/\/www.seamsgeeky.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/spideycoat-image-stripe.jpg\" alt=\"spideycoat image stripe\" width=\"845\" height=\"523\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.seamsgeeky.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/spideycoat-image-stripe.jpg 845w, http:\/\/www.seamsgeeky.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/spideycoat-image-stripe-300x186.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.seamsgeeky.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/spideycoat-image-stripe-768x475.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.seamsgeeky.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/spideycoat-image-stripe-825x510.jpg 825w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 845px) 100vw, 845px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some garment deets:<\/p>\n<p>Fabrics used:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Red and Blue cotton twill fabric for the main body<\/li>\n<li>Ponte knit for the sleeve bottoms<\/li>\n<li>Perfecto faux leather (this stuff is amazing)<\/li>\n<li>Crepe de Chine custom printed at Spoonflower for the lining<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cool jacket details:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For comfort and mobility, which seems like a given for any Spider-Man ANYTHING, I made slotted seams on the pertinent seams with some of the red ponte.
